TOPIC:  Eastern Iowa Health Center Covers Critical Gaps

Please join us at the Marion Library to learn about new and innovative practices Eastern Iowa Health Center (EIHC).

EIHC offers health care in the form of family medicine, pediatrics, behavioral health, oral health, and OB/Gyn services. EIHC serves patients with private insurance. EIHC also accepts Medicaid patients who often struggle to find health care elsewhere in our community. Approximately 85% of EIHC patients receive Medicaid, Medicare or self-pay.

To best serve underserved populations, EIHC has received grants and in-kind support to expand their oral health care services and to provide free patient transportation. Additionally, EIHC is currently making plans to add an in-house pharmacy to provide more convenient service for patients. To assist our multi-cultural community, EIHC supports a number of languages through interpretive services.

Jennifer Borcherding, EIHC Director of Development and Community Relations, will describe how EIHC closes critical health service gaps in our community by serving all patients, regardless of ability to pay.

Please join us at the Marion Library Board Room to learn about new and innovative practices Eastern Iowa Health Center (EIHC) offers to meet patient needs both inside and outside of clinic walls.

All monthly LWV programs are open to the public. Please forward this to like-minded friends, and make plans to join us March 4 at 10:00 am.
