LINN COUNTY STATE OF THE COUNTY LUNCHEON

Linn County, IA – The League of Women Voters Linn County 2022 State of the County
luncheon will feature Linn County Supervisor Chair Ben Rogers’ address at an
in-person State of the County address.
Date: Friday, April 29th, 2022
Time: 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
Place: The Hotel Kirkwood Center
Registration for the luncheon is highly recommended due to limited seating.
Celebrating National County Government Month, the event will include a presentation followed by a live Q&A session moderated by the League of Women Voters Linn County. Supervisor Roger’s talk will focus upon past challenges, present projects, and future projected opportunities. The 17th annual State of the County Luncheon will be held at The Hotel Kirkwood Center, 7725 Kirkwood Blvd SW from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. The luncheon will start at 11:30 am with the program beginning promptly at noon.
The event is open to the public and free seating is reserved for individuals who only want to attend the program.
Individual reservations for lunch are $40 per person; full tables of 10 are $400. Reservations may be made by either mailing a check, including a contact email and company,
no later than April 20th to

Online processing fees apply. Sponsors are being accepted through April 20th, however placement upon printed material may not be guaranteed.
The State of the County is hosted by the League of Women Voters Linn County, in cooperation
with Linn County, and supported by local sponsorship including Gold: Alliant Energy,
MidAmerican Energy, Cedar Rapids / Iowa City Buildings and Trades Council (CRICBTC),
Shuttleworth and Ingersoll PLC, Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation (GCRCF), and
Silver: Collins Aerospace and Simmons Perrine Moyer and Berman PLC.
Funds raised by the State of the County event are used to help the League cover the cost of
nonpartisan voter education materials and forums.
The League of women voters of Linn County is a nonpartisan political organization that neither
supports or oppose any candidate or political party, encourages citizen participation in
government and is open to any citizen 16 years and older.
