Cedar Rapids’ Charter requires the City Council appoint a Charter Review Commission every ten years. City Council approved the creation of the active Charter Review Commission in November and appointed nine members. The Commission shall review the existing charter and may recommend any amendments it deems appropriate to the Council. Browse the Charter here.
