LWVLC and the Cedar Rapids State of the City

Over the past 37 years, the LWVLC has held the Cedar Rapids State of the City event in person. Many in the community and the surrounding region look forward to the event held in February each year. It provides a time for gathering, spending valuable time with community members, colleagues, and taking a moment to visit with friends. We enjoy lunch together and share in listening to our mayor provide information about our city. Last year the community contributed to a record-breaking sold-out event at the Cedar Rapids DoubleTree by Hilton.

Next year includes the possibility of returning to our cherished events in person and also providing educational events and engaging the community throughout the year. Taking into consideration the cost requirements for the League to continue supporting educational events and activities for the community, we ask for your support of a donation. A suggested donation of $20 for individuals and a suggested donation of $200 for a company is appreciated. As always, the event is free for the community to attend.
