Speakers: Liz Mathis, State Senator from Linn County, will provide a legislative update on mental health services in Iowa.

Liz Mathis, Iowa State Senator from Linn County since 2011, was a journalist for 22 years and now works for child welfare and behavioral health agency that helps troubled kids and their families. She is the ranking member on the Human Resources Committee and Agriculture & Natural Resources Appropriations Subcommittee. She also serves on the Agriculture, Appropriations, Commerce, and Veterans Affairs Committees.
She has been awarded the Corridor Business Journal’s “Women of Influence” and “Most Influential” awards. She was also named to Governing Institute’s Women in Government Leadership Class of 2019.
